Councilor Alyson Spery seeking first full term

Alyson Spery, who was appointed to the Jackson Town Council in early 2025, is seeking her first full term on the council.

“The council, and staff, and leaders in this community have really invested in getting me caught up to speed in the past year and some months,” Spery said. “It’s time for me to give a return on that investment.”

The filmmaker, who also works for a wedding DJ business and bartends at Glorietta, is in a newly competitive Town Council race. Two seats, currently held by Spery and Jonathan Schechter, are up for grabs in November’s election. Schechter is running, as is former Town Councilor Jessica Sell Chambers.
